Getting Africa on its Feet!

There are an estimated 100 million land mines buried beneath the surface of this Earth. Someone steps on a mine every 19 minutes, usually women and children. Whole communities live in constant fear and terror. They cannot farm land, get water or even go to work or school safely.

These terrifying devices lie dormant long after wars have ended and wait in silence for innocent victims, some who were born after the conflict.

For those already maimed by these devices their physical injury limits their true potential. People with skills are unable to make valuable contributions to their communities, a contribution that they dearly want to make.

As a result we at the Sole of Africa have created our victims assistance programme

"Africa's Got Legs"

There are thousands of people in Africa who have lost their limbs, sight and hearing through the ravages of war primarily through landmines or UXO (Unexploded Ordance)

The Mineseeker Foundation with it's Sole of Africa initiative is focussed on rebuilding people's lives and communities by providing them with self-empowering and sustainable solutions.

...and it all starts with the legs....
